become a host family
Open your home. Make a lifelong connection.
One of FIBI’s most meaningful traditions is welcoming visiting players into local homes. Host families receive two or more players and provide a comfortable home away from home while building connections that can last long after the tournament ends.
What Host Families Provide
Beds and bathroom access
Meals based on the team’s schedule
Laundry for uniforms and clothing
Transportation to and from the field when needed
A welcoming place to stay
Many host families attend their players’ games, although it is not required. Hosts also often provide memorable experiences outside the tournament, such as shopping, sightseeing in Pittsburgh, picnics, pool parties, and other activities.
FIBI will provide schedules and additional details before the players arrive.

“Being a host family has been one of the best experiences we have ever had! In addition to making memories and friendships that last a lifetime, getting to share in cultural similarities and differences is priceless. I have said time and time again that hosting is a vacation that actually comes to us!”
